Ever hear of it? It is off the BeeLine towards Payson.
I found a few trails off the main road. Mostly technical stuff, I took every trail I could find and could only stretch the ride out to about 40 miles. I found a great camping spot, but noticed in the brush that there was a stash of about 50 gallons of gas. The cans said it was 3:1 diesel to gas mixture. In addition to the gas cans there were about 8 torches. The kind firefighters use to do the back burns. I am not sure if that stuff should have been left out there.
Not sure who I should tell about it. I have the GPS coordinates.
If anyone knows about this stuff let me know?

Barry,

Send me the information and I will contact the appropriate land manager for the location in question. Thanks for posting.

What did the torches look like? It sounds like the stuff wildland firefighters use for backburns and prescribed burns. Although it's kind of careless for them to leave it out where anyone can get to it. If the torches were a canister with a handle on it and a torch tip at the end then it is a drip torch. Pretty neat toy that firefighters get to play with.
How was that ride on Mt. Ord? Can unlicensed dirtbikes take it? Is it easy or a challenge?

Go really fast down that hill. If anything gets in your way, turn.

Sorry, Also sometimes they will stage equipment if they're going to do a prescribed burn or have it there in case a wildland fire starts and they need it quick for a backburn. Who knows.

Sorry..
I was in Cancun for the last week.. and didnt see many computers.
Shannon I will get those coordinates from my buddy. It looked like they already did some kind of burn in the area. There was a tree that was split in half and burned to the roots, looked like lighting hit it.
As for the ride.. it was ok. I would not go back unless I needed a quick ride. Its close to my house. And there is no way to get lost on the trails up there. One or two technical sections, hills.
sorry took so long to respond.
