In an effort to help Jim with expenses we have developed a "small" racing sticker for your swing arm, fender, car window, etc.
It will have Chapman Desert Racer with his # 607. ALL proceeds from this sticker will be forwarded to Jim's payable account. Please don't miss this opportunity to help out. Minimum $5.00 each with all other donations accepted. If i run out I will order more! Hope to have them available during Cinders Race. I will be near registration area on Saturday. RA members - we need your help! If you would like stickers for your bikes, quads, kids machines etc please contact me @

Have you had them made yet?? The people that do the Whiplash stickers and other stuff will do them way cheaper than anyone else. Me and Dayton and a few others had a handfull of stickers made when Mark O died and it cost us a small fortune. Later on we found that the Whiplash people would have done the same thing for a fraction of the cost.

Thanks Fisk.
Ya Dave, $5.00 bucks sounds a little steep but it's the donation were looking for. I'm sure it was'nt too expensive to have the stickers made. I'm sure we could still give some out for a little smaller donation, but I'm also sure some folks would give a bit more. More than any thing I just wanted to have all the riders wear one in support for the Chapman family. Im willing to cover the cost of the printer's fee & hope that we can have collect a good amount donations.
I disgussed Insurance issues with Pat today. They have a 90/10 plan. We estimate the bill is around $500.000.00 That makes Jim out-of-pocket around $50.000.00 That could take they nearly the rest of their lives to pay this off. There are also a lot of hidden cost such as the modifcations to Jims house to make it wheel chair accessible. I belive I'll be able to do most myself + hope to get some more items donated to me from my boss at McKesson. Jim was also getting ready to re-roof his house. Fortunitly roofing was one of my trades of the past & I still own all my roofing tools. I'll be saving up over the summer & plan on putting a new roof on this fall when it starts to cool down.
I'v disgussed a fund raiser ride with Don Hood. Were looking at maybe in late septmber, but nothing final yet. I would like to get some in-put from the racers at the Cinders next weekend. We have a area in mind but I'm waiting for more feed back

Ola Everyone - The sticker dude is a friend & because of Jims circumstances has already discounted my costs. I want to pay for these myself. Please spread the word that they are available soon & let's get every RA member displaying one.
Thanks for asking Shannon - We need your help!
We would like to get $5.00 per sticker but as Phil mentioned they are certainly available for less if needed. Obviously more than $5.00 would be accepted.
Mail checks to:

Great job on the Chapman race sticker Mr. Fisk! They turned out much nicer than I expected. I bought 9 myself which I'll be giving some to Jim's family. Not sure how many sold, but the donation jar was looking good:D Those who did not pick one up be sure to contact Mark Fisk to get yours!

I am not embarrassed to admit I cried when I read all of your messages on this subject, and the Update on Jim forum. Thank you so much for all you are doing. Most importantly, thank you for not forgetting Jim. I know how busy everyone is with their own lives, and it helps more than you know that Jim is still being thought of.
He has yet to begin rehab, and cannot until his broken back heals. They should do another CAT scan in about 2-3 weeks and, if the fractures have fused, rehab will begin. He has lost 30+ pounds, and is not allowed to do anything for himself at this point for fear the titanium rod in his back will bend, or the broken vertebrae will shift. Jim is not one to lay around, so you can imagine his frustration/depression at this point. They get him in his wheelchair each day, and sometimes he is able to go outside. Unfortunately, they have been unable to stabilize his blood pressure, and one hour in the chair is about all he can tolerate. I can't wait to get him home.
Thank you again for all you have done, and are doing. It is appreciated more than we can ever say.
Thank you for the update! My Mom asked me Sunday on how Jim was doing. He is still in our there with us at the races, just in a different way.
