Hello all,
My wife and I have just acquired 2 Honda TRX350 Ranchers. I am looking for info one some good areas for a new rider (my wife). I live in the Peoria area and have a trailer so distance is not a problem.
How is the Hayfield Draw area? Or anything you might suggest. We are mostly interested in scenic areas with easy terrain. I usually ride single track on a XR400R so I am not use to the atv scene. All suggestions are welcome.

The ride from Coyote Springs to Jerome is nice (near Prescott Valley). It's easy and has some nice views. You can have lunch in Jerome and then head back. Park your bikes behind the fire station.
Hi Joe,
I ride an XR400, and my wife rides a '02 Rancher. What a coincidence 'eh?
As far as Hayfield Draw...it's a great place to ride, although it might be getting a little too warm up there by now. There is a good mix of 50" ATV trails, some wash, hill climbs and a little bit of everything there. We staged one of our big RA rides there last year and did a 50 miler into the Verde Valley. It was a great ride.
PM a fax# to me and I will fax you a trail map of the area. Hope that helps! Good luck

If easy and scenic is your thing, Butterfield Stage Route is a must do. Wait until the fall or winter though. It's located between Gila Bend and Maricopa and is nestled right in the middle of the Sonoran Desert National Monument. It is slightly over 12 miles one way, not a loop. Lots of good places to camp.
Buy yourself a copy of the book Guide To Arizona Backroads & 4-Wheel Drive Trails. Lots of people on this site have it and use it often. This trail is #65 in that book. There are 75 trails in the book and directions, gps coordinates, features, trail description, and trail difficulty is listed for each.
Enjoy!

don't forget the "trail guide" at the top of the page. it shows trails in yavapai county which includes the bradshaw mountains where there is more elevation and cooler temperatures.
