I am thinking about getting a Jumping Jack. Here is a link: http://www.jumpingjacktrailers.com/

Does any one know anything about them? Kemptons has one in stock and it looks just like what I need. some of the reasons I like it are:

You can buy a life time license for it (its classified as a utility trailer)

I can put my Ridge Runner on top of it and go down the road.

It will sleep 6.

It looks like its easy to put up and take down.

You can use it a utility trailer by sliding the tent out.

One concern is how will it handle wind when the tent is up.

Costs about $6000

What are you thoughts?

He has been at several of the shows in Phoenix with them. He had the wife of a perspective buyer set it up and it looks to be very easy. Make the local dealer do a demo for you. I liked the way he has thought everything out and they appeared to be very well constructed. I also liked the waterproof storage bag for the tent and the ability to load on top but the trailer seemed a little on the lite side for the weight load(with quads).

Pretty clever. A tandem axle with brakes for about 4 quads would be cool...:D

You ask and you shall receive. This toyhauler just came out in 2005. Great entry hauler. It is on my wish list.

Yea except they want 15K for it.

I took a close look last year at the RV show. I thought it was pricey for what you get. The same price you can get a 16' Carson Ridge Runner. What I was concerned about is how long the canvas would last in the AZ heat.

They are usually out at the Big Boys and their Toys show and look pretty cool -- but pricey as mentioned.

They are pricey, that's for sure but I like the convenience of being able to pull it with a 6 cyl SUV and I am thinking you could get the jumping jack where you would never think of getting a full fledged toy hauler into. I guess its like most every thing else, a compromise.

There is also another type of trailer similar to the Fleetwood that is a tent trailer with a rack on the front so you can load a quad sideway.

The new Sierra Baja series are very nice. They don't have them up on the website yet, but I saw them at Kempton's. They have more ground clearance also. Like the axles come flipped.

Well, I went on ahead and bought the Jumping Jack trailer. I got a decent deal at Big Boyz Toys show today at the Civic Center. Base price was $4700 but managed to add a bunch of options and got the price in the high 5k area but I think I got a good deal. Going to try it out next week end by taking it to Moab UT., I'm sure I will wishing I had an A/C but other than that it's going to be fun.

Thanks for all of your input.

We got a chance to try out the Jumping Jack trailer this weekend in the cool pines near potato lake, I'm impressed with it. It pulled great with my 750# Ridgerunner strapped to the top of it and is very easy to set up. Here is a shot of our camp...

Man i need my "Toybox". I am a domestic camper But they will work for some. I dont see these as popular. Good concept though for smaller tow vehicles

Looks good Avery, glad to see you enjoyed it.

I would keep it covered when in storage though. The AZ sun is going to be rough on the storage tent bag.
