Last night (saturday 7th ) I saw a high-light of the Baja 500. Of all TV stations who would have though it would be on the TRAVEL CANNEL? They mainly focused on the Pro trucks, but did show a few of the bikes & qauds. It was pretty cool to see what they called the "Parting of the Sea." Race fans would stand right in the street, then jump out of the way just as the speeding vehicles blew by[:0] The local fans were so close to the edge of the course, drivers could feel people slap the side of their trucks as they sped by at over a 100+ MPH! Lot of close calls with local traffic vehicles as well. It looked pretty crazy[:o)][:p]:D[:0]

i would never touch a moving vehicle, especially at 100+ mph, now that is just purely insane.....
I have no limitations, only my quad has limitations......

OLN will also play their version on June 19th. I don't know the time, but I'll try to find out. They interveiwed Todd Johnson on the start line (bike 303X).
Those people are just friggin crazy about getting in the race course. That is one reason I like to ride the Mike Sky Ranch loop, it's the farthest part of the race away from civilization and it's very rough and rocky so the local's pretty much stay out of that area. I did ride 40 of the last 70 miles this year and it was frightening to see what those guys will do to be part of the race. Towards the end of the race and later in the day everybody gets pretty drunk and more stupid. You really have to be on your toes. If it wasn't for one guy (trophy truck pit guy) waving me down I would of hit a nasty hidden booby trap on the blind side of a rise on a extremely fast road. I wanted to go back and hug that guy and shoot who ever made it, but of course I was racing.
I bought a tape of the San Felipe-250 while we were in Ensenada. It is really good. Those truck and buggy guys are friggin crazy to say the least. It also had perfect footage of a trophy truck running over a guy on a quad. Full speed, he didn't swerve or anything just ran right over him. It was pretty sick. The quad guy was alright suprisingly, but a truck did hit and kill a bike racer in that race. That wasn't on the video.

The Parker 425 was on OLN a couple of weeks ago. It is awesome to see desert racing get some exposer. Finally.
