Coral Pink is probably going to be too hot and Pismo will be too crowded - better make reservations if you want to do Pismo.
Cinders maybe???

Glamis or Buttercup should have plenty of camping room........

^^^And triple digit tempuratures. Duning season is over.
My suggestion.....Stay home on the Fourth. Go to Pismo the week after. My friend and I did this a couple years in a row and always had a blast.:D

Go to glamis and ride all day like a real man would...take your fryin pan and cook up lunch on the sand. You won't even need to worry about those pesky park rangers, cuz they are not man enough to be out in the heat.
Coral Pink is nice if you dont mind camping without ammenities!

Cinders...
Go to Buttercup for the 4th. We went to Buttercup yesterday (July 1st). Got there at sun up and started riding around 5:30am. There was a cool breeze blowing until around 9am when it started turning warm. We were out there until almost 11am, it really wasn't to bad until the last 45 minutes or so. We road on both the Buttercup and Gordons Wells side and didn't see a single person, except the border patrol, the sand was perfect ... smooth, and dry. It was the best riding we've done all year, the sand was so good we didn't want to stop.
If your sand addiction needs a fix, there's nothing like 4 to 5 hours of perfect sand to calm that beast for a few months.

dunes sounds like fun. i would go out there but no one else feels up to it. i've been craving a trip even in the heat. if any body feels up it i'm down to go.
