View Full Version : Internet connection for travelling

I had some time ago posted a message to find out what people are using for internet connection while travelling around the country with their trailers.

After further research, I ended up getting a Novatel Wireless Air card and got connected up with Verizon Wireless.

I have taken the trailer to quite a few remote areas and the set up is working great. I highly reccomend it if anyone is looking for a way to connect to the internet while travelling across county. The connection speed is also very good.

Cheers!

Clyde

Yea, I pay about $ 80.00 per month - it is good for business as I take the trailer to a lot of events where we set it up with the tent, display, promote and sell products

Our cell phones are already with Verizon....Tell me more about the Novatel wireless card and will it work on my existing Verizon phones and account?

Cletus you might want to go talk to a rep at a verizon store, they are pretty good at explaining how it affects your bill, but dont seem to be overly familiar with that product.

I know someone who has Verizon and it works fairly well, but doesn't work in all places. Like the Cinders. My father uses MOTOSAT http://www.motosat.com/, a satellite for internet. He can get the internet anywhere in the country even where cell service is not available. But it can be spendy. $5000 for the device and $99 a month. Or they have a cheaper dish that you position yourself for around $600 plus $99 a month. It just depends how bad you need to access RidingArizona.COM when you are out and about. :)
