View Full Version : Saturday Morning Ride
I agree it's really really hot but wife insist we take the quads out Saturday morning to entertain some visiting relatives. Mostly ride Glamis and have never been to Saguaro. Any body have directions to good riding area there (from Tempe) Thanks Much.
Sport quads not 4x's sandy stuff would be great.

It's called the ROLLS OHV area. Take 87 north and turn right onto Bush Hwy, a few miles down on the left you'll comes across a parking area known as "Probocito"(not sure of the spelling) parking lot, turn left and go into the dirt stageing area and ride from there. There a printable trail map on the Tonto NF website under ROLLS OHV. You can also access this area from the north if stage off of Four Peaks Rd(at the coral area) which is also off of Hwy87 just a few miles futher north of the Bush Hwy turn. This area has lots of river wash/desert riding. RICH

I was up that way last weekend at Bushnell Tanks. If you can convince your wife to do a late afternoon/evning ride, its actually relatively comfortable. We got there about 5pm and rode till aboout 9:30 and it was great.
Take HWY 87 toward Payson it is on the right just past Sycamore Creek. There is a sign. You will know you are coming up on it when you pass a closed old store that looks like a house set on a little hill, also on the right...sorry, I remember directions by landmarks, but the riding was good and there weren't a lot of people out there. If it does get too warm there's some water there to play in.
If its fast enough to do something stupid on, I'll ride it!
