The last 500cc championship, won in 1993, was on a KX500. And thats a fact jack!

I'm sure of the Kawasaki part, but, the rider part is what is in question. I do believe that Larocket was a Kawa pilot at that time.
So, I ask again, "Where's the genious with the right answer"?

The KX-500 is an awesome bike. I raced one for years, but the CR-500 is the ultimate motocross bike.
It has more MX inspired geometry. That is what it was made for.
The KX-500 is longer and softer. It was designed to be a desert bike. Hence the 10-20mph top end difference.
They are both excellent in there own venues.

I think credit should be given where credit is due.
You wouldn't catch me dead with either one of those bikes in my garage though.
Unless of course someone was to give me one and say O.K. get out there and make it sing.
