When you go to a full hookup facility, wht is the approite way to have you tanks.

Black or Grey

Valves open direct to sewer or do you fill the tanks then flush out ??

I leave the valves shut until it time to empty the tanks. This way you get the flushing effect. Rich

Like Rich said, let them fill (at least 1/2 way) before you open the valves. Pull the black 1st then the grey.

Yep like they both said let black get part full then use the grey to flush the hose and clean it out.

Make sure you have about 5 gallons of water in your black tank before you use it so nothing sticks to the bottom.

About any deoderant will work. I bought the last batch from walmart. I don't remember the name but it's a orange smell....yummmmmm
and I throw some lemon smelling stuff in the grey.

Having enough water in your black tank is a very big deal.. Most people are scared to use very much water when flushing and it gets messy later.

We always keep our gray open, but just make sure we have enough water before we drain the black when it gets full. But the only real flushing effect you would get would be in your external hose, so it can a little bit..

The orange smelly stuff will kill any odor. ;)

Sometimes that gray tank can smell pretty bad![xx(] I always put a little bit of deodorizer in the sink.

If you're in a RV park you'd be better off crapping in the facilities provided, and only use yours in emergencies. [^] If that in an annoyance then there are butt plugs available! :D
