Maybe even like a separate forum under the Non-OHV area?

Just thinking cause when I go hunting I mean it usually has a lot to do with trails and ATV's and stuff around the state. Pictures too.. But just putting it all under the non-ohv area with all the pictures of stupid stuff?

What do you think?

Austin, I like the idea also especially the hunting part since I do a lot of that also. We will just have to wait and see what Shannon thinks.

You even expand on that with a hunting/fishing page. That way when Joe gets one of the huge lunkers (7" long), he can post it up also.

So what kinds of posts would one find in this section? Can you elaborate some? Also, I will need some moderators for this section, so I will have to look around for a couple of members who hunt and fish and are good stewards for the sport. Additionally, the said candidates must be polically savvy and be able to write in complete sentences, as well as take unwarranted abuse from our members WITHOUT contributing to the crazyness RA sometimes sees. ;)

I'm not even a tree hugger....but a deer & elk hugger?.....maybe. ;)

If you're gonna control their population, ya all oughta control ours too.....huh. [xx(] :D
No need to consider me as a mod for a hunting forum. Now fish......no problem.:)

I'm not a hunter.. I'm a "WILDLIFE POPULATION CONTROL SPECIALIST" :D:D

Shannon: If we made this like a separate forum, we could have like hunting locations, hunting stories, even like hunting accessories for OHV's or something. Topics would include hunting trip results and location info, animals & OHV photos, locations, trails, good spots, planning group hunting trips for like quail, dove, predators, etc... Just maybe keep it pretty general and see what kind of topics we can form out of it after that.

I'd gladly help out in management of this section if needs be!:)

Personally I think we need more "HUMAN POPULATION CONTROL SPECIALISTS", Specially for those that believe that "the more babies, the better".

Ya wanna volunteer? :D :D [}:)]

Shannon, I think the easiest and least confusing way to set this up would be to have one section "Hunting - Fishing" and let it go from there. Austin pretty well covered it. There would be personal experiences, pictures, maybe a little how to, regulations, equipment, news, etc.

I agree, make it simple. It could always be altered if needed later.

It could be just like our Sand Box section. A section for pictures and another for general use.

That would work. If we can get it set up pretty quick I can put my elk and coues deer that I am going to get in November in it. :D;)

Well, I would definitely like to be a moderator of this section. Right down my alley. I can't tell you how many hunting wildlife organizations I belong to but I will try. :)

Arizona Bowhunters Association (Life Member)
Arizona Wildlife Federation
National Rifle Association
Boone & Crockett Record Club
Pope & Young Record Club
Bowhunting in Arizona Record Book (Committee member, 15 years)
Pope & Young Measurer
Bowhunting in Arizona Measurer
National Wild Turkey Federation
Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation

and probably some more I can't think of.

I as well would like to be on the moderation side of this forum!

I, unlike AZ Griz, do not have very many memberships, but I am a member of the National Rifle Association and Safari Club International. I havent put any animals in the books yet but strive to every year! I attend the SCI Hunting Convention in Reno every year and have been hunting since as far back as I can remember. I speak only what I know and love talking about hunting and the outdoors. I've been a member of the hunting.net forums for a very long time. Havent been hunting out of the country yet, but usually goto Alaska every year and Utah, Nebraska, Idaho, and of course Arizona in between. I have a niche for maps and geography, especially in Arizona!

Moose, thanks for the nomination, but I don't know how much time I have to keep track of a forum. I would love to help out if there are a couple of other people.

I think it's a great idea! A place for those that enjoy the sport to share ideas and information and stories.
