Looking at a forest service map, this area is large with many trails. Has anyone ridden in this area and how are the roads? I'm looking for access with my toy hauler and roads that don't require being street legal so my son can ride too.
Thanks,

Are you talking about the OHV place in Camp Verde? If so, there is a nice trailhead/parking/pit area with restrooms and everything...

Generaly speaking, this area is not busy at all unless R/A is putting on a large group ride.

How for is that from Phoenix? I'm new to AZ and have no idea where to go ride.

You can camp anywhere on the Prescott National Forest. As far as the Hayfield Draw area, the staging area is day-use only, but you can camp up there off of Cherry Road with your hauler and access all of the trails around Camp Verde.

It's roughly 100 miles from Downtown Phoenix, give or take.
If you live in the east valley, The Rolls would be your best bet.
