Well, it is not going very good so far. My season opened today and it rained most of the morning. :( To make things worse, on the way out from my treestand, I got a slit in the sidewall of my front tire :( on my Grizzly so I had to leave everything and come back to town :( to get a spare tire and wheel :). I will be heading out in the morning getting after it again. [:0]:)

This sucks.
Have you seen any deer? Archery season you know.:D.

You cannot believe how many ATV enthusiasts were out this past weekend around Tonto Village [:0]. Most of they had never heard of a helmet or not riding two up on quads blazing down the main dirt road :(. There were just to many people in the woods :(. I did get within 25 yards of an average 6 point elk but couldn't get a shot :). I am leaving Wednesday morning to try my luck on Coues deer :D then next Sunday I will be back after the elk ;) thru Thanksgiving.

Chris, just like your hunt, ours had us shaking our heads as well, but in a different way. We observered several road hunting moments. This was on a Jr hunt! I can just see it, another generation of road hunters coming up! I just wish G & F could enforce closer....

Hey Griz where is your Couse tag at? I have a 24b tag in Dec. I think i will scout tgiving weekend. and see what i can roust up. good luck. jeff

My Coues tag is in 36A. :) I wish it was a December tag though. ;)

Well, no tag filled this year. I thought I had a great spot until mother nature pulled a trick on me with the rain at the beginning of the season and the full moon. The elk were feeding and watering during the night and bedding up early. It was just impossible trying to still hunt with the dry timber floor.
