Do you mean one of those that connect directly onto you reciever hitch? Diglerville has a cool hookup so he can mount his bike right on the back of his SUV.

I modified a hitch cargo carrier (purchased from www.cabelas.com) by mounting an aluminum motorcycle ramp on it with some wood used for extra bracing. At the end of the ramp, I took an aluminum strip (purchased from lowes or home depot) and bolted/cabled it on the ramp for use as a wheel stop. It works pretty well and is actually the 2nd one I have made (first one was modified using wood only). I can send pics if you want to see it. Using the aluminum ramp, I probably only saved about $50 over the cost of the one available from cabelas (and it is the cheapest one I've seen available at only $179).
