Hi guys,
I have a 1999 36' Damon Intruder motorhome with the V-10 in it. I would like to get some more power out of it, as well as better mileage. What would be the best way to go, as well as being economical(cheap!) Thanks for all ya all's help! (learned that phrase after spending 2 years in Tennessee:D)

Darren-
I just sold my 99 F250 V-10. I had a Superchips programmer, and it made a NOTICEABLE difference when towing my toyhauler. Unlike a "hard" chip, you can select from multiple programs, THEN tweak shift points, shift pressures, etc. within each of the programs. I bought mine on Ebay and saved a little over retail. Even when not towing, throttle response was improved over stock, so you could tell a difference just driving around town. I don't know if it HELPED my mpg or not, though, but IF you drove consistently before and after the program was installed, it shouldn't HURT your mileage.

whats the price tag on that?
Oh yeah- and on the "Tow/Perf" and "Performance" programs, you're supposed to only run 91 or better octane- Superchips claims it's possible to damage your engine running a lesser grade of fuel. The other program is called "87 Octane", and even on that one, I noticed a difference over the stock program.

They do custom burns for your vehicle application. with yours being a motorhome your going to have more weight behind that engine than in a regular superduty. If you just buy a generic tuner like superchips, hypertech etc your just going to get an off the self tune for most vehicles out there. The nice thing about troyer is you tell him exacty how your rig is setup and he can program the tuner perfect for your needs. Im not sure what he does for motorhomes but give him a call either way, he is full of info and very helpful. I bought a excaliber II for my F150 and couldnt have been happier with there service.

wow, I haven't heard Mikes name in a long time. Been a while since I was a F150online vistior. He was well respected in the computer chip area.
IMO, the best thing for a motorhome is a Banks Kit... $$$$$$
