View Full Version : ET Motopark Suggestions
I have a buddy that works for ET Motopark. I've heard from him and other people that the track owners really appreciate and encourage suggestions regarding the track and how it's run.
They want the riders and patrons to have as much say as possible about track conditions, watering isuues, and new ideas etc...
So if you have any ideas or suggestions, lets hear em'.
I would be happy to convey your thoughts to them.

Afternoon,
Just wondering if ET Motopark plans to let Quads on the big track. First time out as a spectator there were quads on this track. Next weekend I went to Ride. After about an hour riding on the Vet/Quad Will & I went to the large track. The Bikers looked at me funny and informed me that this was a Bike "Only" track. I Asked several "Staff" members and nobody had a clue. The Staff said they "Might" open it up the last 1/2 hour during business hours. Any clear-cut policy on this issue. Thanks

That doesn't sound right at all. Those riders have no busines telling you that.

I would only talk to Ed or Tom about that if I were you. There are more than Vets and Quads on the Vet/Quad track. You should be able to ride on either track.
I will see what I can find out.

Thanks El-Gato,
That large track is so cool on the back section with those small table-tops. Fourth gear pinned over those are a TOTAL Rush. The Vet/Quad is OK but becomes very crowded when the're watering the large track. Hope to see more of the RA Quads out running the bumps. Thanks for the response.

Can't wait to get out there...
Took my little girl for a ride to see it, she can't wait for dad to go over the handle bars with the video camera rolling.
Too bad I'm out of town this weekend...

We were talking to some staff guy a week or two ago and they said they open the big track up to quads the last hour or so only.
Oh, also this past weekend they were really keeping a tight rein on goofing off in the pit. Guess during the long weekend it got a bit out of control. They are talking about making you push your bike over to the tracks.

Even after they told every single rider to be more carefull in the pits or it will be a push only pit area, I still seen people doing donuts in the parking lot and speeding around. I guess these people don't realize how far it is from one track to another. It's going tyo suck to have to push your bike 200-300 yrds to enter the tracks. It has happened at a lot of other MX tracks. No other track in AZ has such a spread out large area.
It's going to be the stupidity of few that will determine the fate of all as usual.

I'm glad to see that they finally addressed the issue. I spoke with staff the first couple of times I was out there after a couple of tools insisted on hauling *@s on the access road. I also pitched a b!*ch on July 7th were some tool on a quad was kicking up dust and hauling *@s through the pit by the pee wee track and two other tools were drag racing along the fence near the road in the same areas.
You would think that with a whole track to ride these morons would get a clue!

Ride Red,
Just out of curiousity....were the other tools on two wheels? The reason I ask is you specifically mentioned the one on the quad but not the others. I'm not implying anything by asking this question...I'm just curious.

I've seen it as a fairly split mix, I think the quads get more of the attention because they are bigger and make more dust, but I've definitely seen an even split mix.

Shannon: The other tools were on bikes.
The four wheeler was more of a problem because he happened to pass right in front of my friend's trailer coating the people sitting under the canopy with dust. The bikes were further away and their cloud eventually dispersed, but it still drifted towards us.
A tool is a tool and a squid is a squid whether on two wheels or four. I didn't mean to imply I was picking on any one particular genus/species.

I've found myself speeding a few times, and I even got asked to slow down a couple times.
When you're out on the track hauling @ss and have to go 5mph back to the truck it's sometimes hard to do.
This does not excuse the "tools" that are just plain being stupid.
I don't know if I'll ride there again this summer if I have to start pushing my bike all around the dang place. It's too stinking hot for that nonsense.
Lets hope it doesn't come to that.

Yeah pushing sux, I had to push from the quad track back to the truck and it was a pain. My own fault for forgetting the helmet tho'. I was surprised how many people just ignored the warnings. Maybe they should ask them to leave next time rather than make us all suffer.

Ever tried pushing an XR650 with riding boots on?? They invoke a push em rule, guess I won't be able to go anymore, I can't afford to hire a pusher and I ain't pushin that pig anywhere
