my sister and brother in law bought one this summer. Its a nice trailer. lighter than our gear box. I think it is a mid range toy hauler. their tanks are smaller than ours but then again I've never emptied one or filled one on an outing.

I have a 38' Sandpiper 5th wheel and it's been great. Had it a little over 2 years. I think they are a great value. Nice trailer and less expensive than most. Mine's fully loaded. I did have a problem with a broken bolt in the auto-front jacks, but it was covered under warranty. Other than that no issues. I like to open floor plan, you can fit a lot of toys inside. The front/bedroom area has a lot of head room. I don't need that (5'1") but I've had people over 6' in there an they can stand straight up.

The only thing I don't like about mine is there is no gas guage for the fuel tank. You just have to guess how much you have. Would be nice to have a guage.

the new models have a full wrap around booth style dining area that seats 6,its all electric, just hit the button and the entire thing raises up to the top and you put your toys under it,its very cool.i think i might have to get one of these.thanks for the info.quote:Originally posted by mxw1090

I am on my 2nd SandPiper. I love them, especially for the money. I have a 28' (not a 5th wheel) and I can put 4 quads in it. I have a front and back queen bed, two side beds, gas station, generator, 5.1 sterio system, the works. It has 100 gal fresh with 40 gal black and grey and about a 28 gal gas station (would like a gauge though), no wheel rails inside, and 16" tires (don't get Carlisles). I paid about $24,000 OTD in California (Country Time RV) in Riverside. They bring it to you at Ehrenburg and you pay about $250 for them to do it. A notary meets you at the Wendy's and Country time paid the Notary $30 to do everything. I then went to the MVD and paid my AZ taxes. I highly recommend the SandPipers for the money. You can spend a lot more but mine has everything my buddies Weekend Warrior has and he paid $42 for a 32' 5th wheel. I'd rather spend the extra money on a new Yamaha Quad.

I would price them with Pat at Family Van RV on Cave Creek Rd and Mountain View. His # is 602-944-1147 He handles them and Attitude Toyhaulers. No BS. Pat is the owner and gives you his best price up front. I bought a 26' Attitude but we all like something different. I would rather have someone local if you have any problems. Just stay away from World RV in Mesa at all cost.

I second the recommendation of Pat at Family Van RV. I bought my first toy hauler from him, a Wildwood. then went back 5 years later and bought my Sandpiper. Got a fantastic deal, no BS, great people to deal with. It's a small place but they will give you a great deal. Also, great service. I had one problem with that was under warranty. They fixed it, noticed a couple cosmetic issues and fixed those at no cost.
