The manufacture of many Winchester firearms will close their doors March 31st.

No more Model 94[V][V].
Winchester (US Repeating Arms) is a subsidiary of FN Herstal in Belgium as is Browning. The Browning business was acquired by FN in 1976, and Winchester in 1988. Most manufacturing for these subsidiaries is done in Belgium, Portugal and Japan. Looks like Winchester is following the road that Browning has already been down. The Browning, Wincester, and FN relationship is as old as John Browning himself. My guess is that we haven't seen the last of the Model 94.

Just read an article that they were going to discontinue the 94. If that is true the value will do nothing but go up.
Maybe will be reissued in limited editions, commemorative models, etc similar to Browning's 1886.

Ive got one of the 1886 Take down Winchesters that I am going to post for sale in a couple days! waiting on someone to decide if he wants it...
