Just picked up my "new" (used) '99 30' Sierra 5th wheel toyhauler last week. Apparently, I didn't look at it very closely when I bought it. I found the floor bowing some (across, not front to rear), and got to looking at the CHEEZY brackets that hold the walls up (coming off of the main frame rails). Several of the brackets were sheared, and several more bowed. Only thing I can think is maybe it had a HUGE load of snow on the roof or something? Anyway, those brackets are THIN, so a buddy and I jacked the walls up some, and welded 1/4" angle iron under them for added support. The floor bow is gone, and all appears to be good to go now. Thank God I didn't buy this hunk new. If I recall correctly, my "old" hauler ('06 Weekend Warrior) had a lifetime structural warranty. Maybe they used real METAL when building the frames (Zieman, I think).
What a pain, but at least it's fixed with only a day's worth of effort.
