Anyone up for tooling around Four Peaks or showing me the Rolls area next Saturday? Just got my '02 Raptor back from Kenz and it's running great, but I'm not very experienced or skilled yet (only about 15 hours in the saddle) and haven't been out in nearly a year. None of my friends ride, and I don't really like going out by myself that much until I have more confidence. My handling skills are OK, but not great. I know my way around most of the trails at the "top" of Four Peaks (422 and a couple others) but don't know the Rolls area at all. Would be up for either/or. Love to learn some new trails & tricks. Will do my best to try to keep up.
Thanks,
John

NOBODY out there who just wants to do a fun local ride for half a day? I thought there were all types on this board but it seems like unless your post says "racing", "jumping", "camping" or "Poker Run" (whatever that is) no one's interested. Is there a part of this board, or another similar board, for less experienced riders to hook up?

Hey don't get turned off the site because no-one took you up on the Saturday ride at the Rolls. It's kind of a hit a miss thing ya know. Just got to catch people at the right time. I usually ride out there on Thursday's and Friday's.
Take it easy,

Thx, guys. I probably don't have enough time to do a dune trip this weekend but would like to eventually. Not down on the board at all - this is one of the best-run message board I've ever seen, and I've gotten some great advice here. Seem like a lot of nice folks. I only check in periodically, but when I have, most of the posted rides are either too difficult for me or involve camping and more than one day. So far have only hooked up with one guy for one ride, but that was fun and I hope to do more of same. I'm sure with more experience I'll be able to find rides here I can join and riding partners. Are there better trails I could suggest until then where I would get some takers?

BB, I'm always game to show you the "dune ropes" so let me know when your ready. I also am in Scottsdale, way up North. If you want to do some power line roads in the Pima / Dynamite area let me know.

Usually a bunch of guys ride up by I-17 and Happy Valley. I'd take you up on your offer but I'm on call this weekend. I may ride on Sunday morning. Depends on how this weekend goes.
Go really fast down that hill. If anything gets in your way, turn.
BigBad: My wife and I plan on being at Rolls Saturday morning to mid afternoon. We are beginners so we're not much into the jumping, racing, camping thing yet ourselves. This will be only our second outing with our new quads. Maybe we'll see you there?

Thx for the offers. Ken, I just found out I'll have something going on myself Sat morn, but could make it out there by noon. I have a lifted black Tacoma (see pic in link in my signature) with a brown trailer and black '02 Raptor. I'll try to park in the parking area, but if full then off the road near there. What will you and your wife be driving/riding?

We'll have a gold Dodge quad cab & trailer. We'll be around until mid afternoon. Last Saturday the parking area was about 1/2 full, and we only passed three or four people on the trails the whole day. Not crowded at all. C U there maybe.

Is this rolls area at the Four Peaks turn off on the right side of the beeline? I to have a new quad, I just finished up the break-in period and it's in the shop until Friday, Iam still learning too, and not into jumping or racing, just want to ride some nice trails with cool people who dont judge what you ride.

Not too early, maybe around 10. Mama likes to sleep in a bit after a long week.
Would take you up on the offerjust about anyother weekend.
am leaving this weekend for a week in Wisconsin. Maybe when I get back, we can get together. I am retired, and can ride just about anytime. Live in the Peoria area.

Thanks, Jim. Feel free to message me or call my cell phone if you are looking for company on a local ride in the future.
Saturday, I should be at the staging area at about noon. I'll have my phone with me at least until I start riding (480-241-1241). Lifted black Tacoma (pic in link below), brown trailer, black '02 Raptor, black/yellow helmet & pants. Hope to connect with any of you that can make it out there. If I don't see any of you by the time I'm ready to roll, I'll probably just head up Four Peaks Road since I know my way around the top pretty well. Please say hello if you see me, and flip me over if I'm upside-down LOL.

I'm planning on being out there with my wife and a coworker on Monday, Columbus Day. They both have quads. I'm the oddball with the two wheeler! We'll be out there mid morning to cap off our three day weekend. Anyone interested... we'll see you out there. Just look for the Three's Company folks, the ones with the oddball on the two wheeler!
