Has anyone ever heard of the area called the wells. It is supposed to be out by Fountain Hills. On Route 87 but I'm not exactly sure how far North or South it is. I’m looking for a very smooth hardpacked dirt road or trail.

Smooth - Hard packed trail - maybe you would like the Martinez Mine/Canyon area - see the topics on here at about that location. We drove our truck around out there last weekend and it looked interesting. Also - have you been to Mile Post 207 off Highway 60 near Gold Canyon? That is called the Desert Wells OHV - very hard, clear areas - you can ride for many miles. I ride a XR80 and I hate the sand, so I think I hear where you are coming from! Have fun!

Are you sure that you're not referring to the 'Rolls?' That is the only area out there that I can think of besides Sycamore.

Is the rolls south or north on route 87. And how far.
