View Full Version : All of Ironwood closed?
I went out this morning to take my sons out to try their new XR50. I had driven out to Ironwood a week ago to check it out and found the east side of the road closed but there were people riding on the west side still and there were not any of the "No Motor Vehicles" signs on most of the west side. Today both sides were posted "No Motor Vehicles" the whole way along Ironwood. We drove the full legnth of Ironwood and it was closed the whole way. We also tride some other State Trust Land out by there and I was all closed as well. Needless to say I was more than dissapointed to find this. Just thought I would pass it along.
Is there any open flat area out at 204 or 207 that the little guys can learn on?
Thanks,
KJ

I was out at 207 last Sunday and if you drive backa ways there should be some spots for the little guys to have some fun. At the Ironwood riding spot, they have closed everything down. You can get access to that area from the West side of that area. I have not tried that route for some time and am not quite sure if they closed that or not also, But it is worth a try.

You can also access the state land at the 212 MM just down the hwy from 207, its much bigger area to ride as well as the staging area, its got lots of room, and dont see it getting crowded like at 207. Plus its good for the little ones to ride, the 207 gets very crowded and you would be worried about the youngens, just my opinion of course.

Lakota, Thanks for the info. I am asuming the south side of the 60? Is the gate right near the MM212? Thanks again for all the info guys. I was able to get the boys out today at 4 peaks way back by the corral and they both had a great time. It took my 5 year old about a minute to be riding slowly in first gear all by himself. My 8 year old did great as well. Sorry for the rambling, just a proud Dad moment!!!:D ........KJ
