Missile Kit Build 2.0
As some of you know there was an incident with my Missile a month ago and I was set back almost to square one. I found another bike with a clean title and shipped the bend swing arm to John at Missile Engineering. I talked to John friday and he said the swinger is on its way back to me. That is less than two weeks turn around. Saturday I stripped and sand blasted the frame to prep for powder coat. I am going to do a good bit more detail work this time around. By fall it should be looking pretty good. Here is a pic of the frame as it sits now.

I was on my way to Utah and a tiedown strap broke. All the years I have been hauling bikes and never had a problem. In the future it will have something like 6 straps or more.

Post the video when you get back. Those BW350s are cool. Maybe next season we will meet up and ride. I've ridden with Vader a few times and had a blast on fat tire rides. Maybe even a group of fat tires.

Never can have to many straps. I use 6 as a minimum. Good luck on the future build.

Since you have the frame stripped down, I would tab it for a CR500 engine and increase the rake angle on the head stock, then powder coat it.
Then you would REALLY have the ultimate fat tired dune ride!!!

Crash, are you planning to do any additional performance upgrades to the new Missile this go around? Also, when do you expect to have it ready to ride, because I'd like to get the Missiles up to the Cinders this summer and play on the trails and big hills up there . Why wait until the Fall?

I doubt I will make any changes in the motor. It survived the crash with no damage and it was running so good. Right now we are having a house built and it is going to get the high priorty. That means the build won't be the fastest in the world but it will happen. I ordered one of those polished bolt kits for the bike. I am going to paint the motor and just about everything else and I can't stand the look of the bolts all painted or as its called bombed.

If its a solid machine you will be that deep in $ easy. Trust me, I know. The kit alone will run you $1300 to your door. Sounds like it has some good performance mods on it. Ad says it is an 86 but the motor looks like an 85 to me. Plus there is the issue of a title. To me a bike is pretty much worthless without a title. Thats just me though. And on a side note, whats up with the shifter?

Swing arm showed up to day. It looks like new. I mean I can't tell the difference. There is a chance I'll get to powder coat the frame Sunday.
