Default Returned to the 70's
Sold my UTV and returned to the 70's. In the early 70's I bounce between Jeeps & dune buggies. Well sold the toy and picked up a VW Sand Rail & a 1969 Jeep CJ 5, a shortie. I had a 65 CJ5 with a V6 & Warn Overdrive. I have been looking for a while and finally found one with the V6, overdrive & power steering but she needs a little work. I will be playing with the Sandrail next weekend at Coral Pink Sand Dune in UT and the Jeep by the end of the summer. Who says you can return to your youth. I just move a touch slower, LOL!

Older jeeps are always in fashion. I used to have a '72. First year with the 304 V-8.

Doesn't matter what your 'doin' ... just so you are 'doin' sumthin. If you stay home on weekends and cut grass or work on the house, something is terribly wrong.

I'm glad you're happy with your new toys. I have owned a '72 CJ5, '86 CJ7, and a '99 TJ. The TJ out performed the other two hands down. I just don't think I'd go back to the ball busting CJ5. The jeeps were the best things going when I owned motorhomes. Easy to tow and they were good for trail riding when we traveled. I'd probably get another one if I went back to a motorhome.

I drove a '79 CJ7 with a 304 all through college. Had a blast with it! Those CJ5's are sweet little jeeps too. Have fun!

Will do. It will be a couple of months before work is completed so I would trust a run.

Thanks,
