*The times shown may change, depending on DST settings
Who's Invited: Jeeps, 4X4 trucks & SUVs
Distance: 50+ Miles
Speed: Slow

This is a Jeep, 4X4 truck, & SUV trip this Saturday, July 21st.

A stock, high clearance, 4X4 vehicle should be able able to make this trail. The hardest parts will be muddy sections due to the recent rains. (bring a tow strap)

We will be meeting in Pumpkin Center at the saloon under the pumpkin at 9am ready to go.

Make sure you are gassed up & have all your trail preparations completed by 9am. (there is gas at Jake’s Corner or several miles south of Pumpkin Center - round trip from Mesa to Young to Payson & back to Mesa is estimated to be 250 miles).

Have whatever trail food & drinks (no alcohol on the trail run) you need for a fun day in the outdoors. The plan is to have lunch at Young at Antlers.

Bring a flashlight as we will be stopping 1/2 explore the Cave.

The trip officially ends at Young and after lunch we can decide which way to go home. Some will go back through Payson while others may go back via Roosevelt.

If you have any questions, just ask.

This is a Copperstate 4Wheelers club event & guests are welcome (a sign up sheet / waiver is required to be signed by all those attending for club insurance purposes)

(if SxS's or ATV's want to tag along, they can if they don't mind going slow & they stay with the group.)

I checked with the Forest Service. The area & roads are open and the creek crossing passable.

Went great. No storms until on the way home in Payson. No mud on the trail. No mechanical poblems. No one got lost.

That's good. I'm almost done with my CJ7 and I plan to do this run when she's ready. Got any pics? Thanks

Uneventful, yes.. The only hiccup was in Young. It was their Pioneer days with a rodeo and Antlers had a 1.5 hour wait time, so we skipped eating there...

And I hit my head in the cave, causing a painful bump.....

Yes, I have a few pictures....
